A new business networking initiative is set to launch in Pine Rivers, creating opportunities for local operators, entrepreneurs and community organisations to build connections and strengthen the local economy.

Pine Rivers MP Nikki Boyd is collaborating with the Pine Rivers Chamber of Commerce to establish the Pine Rivers Business Network, with its inaugural event scheduled for Friday, October 16.

The free networking series will bring together businesses of all sizes alongside education providers, training organisations, charities, community groups and other local stakeholders.

Each event will feature a guest speaker, giving attendees an opportunity to hear from business leaders, exchange ideas and develop relationships across different sectors.

Nikki said the initiative would build on connections already established through the annual Pine Rivers Small Business Awards.

“Our annual Small Business Awards continue to provide an opportunity for genuine connection with one another, and we want to connect our whole business community into the fabric of our whole community” Nikki said.

“The concept is a proven one, that brings together businesses of every shape and size with the broader community- skills and training, faith, support services, community representatives, and those just keen to collaborate, connect, share ideas and build a stronger local economy”.

The first event will feature Brendale entrepreneur David Archer, inventor and Managing Director of MaxSil, a local agricultural business turning recycled glass into a plant stimulant.

David, who was recently featured on ABC’s Landline, will share his entrepreneurial journey and experience building a business in the City of Moreton Bay.

Nikki said the network would provide a regular opportunity to highlight local innovation while encouraging collaboration between businesses and the broader community.

“We want to bring together and highlight all the different parts of Pine Rivers that make our community so strong and vibrant, while creating opportunities for people to share knowledge, build connections and learn from one another.”

Attendance is free, with event details and registration information available through the Pine Rivers Business Network event listing.

The initiative adds another networking opportunity for businesses across the City of Moreton Bay, with a focus on building relationships that could support future collaboration, innovation and local economic activity.
