I am the Founder and Director of SM Co, a consultancy focused on economic development, Indigenous engagement, regional growth and strategic advisory services. Throughout my career, I have been driven by a commitment to creating meaningful economic opportunities that deliver lasting outcomes for businesses, communities and future generations.
My professional journey spans leadership roles across local government, regional development, education, economic development and workforce planning. I have worked with industry, government and community stakeholders to deliver initiatives that strengthen regional economies, support entrepreneurship and improve workforce participation.
Prior to establishing SM Co, I served as Chief Executive Officer of Regional Development Australia Moreton Bay, where I worked closely with industry, government and community leaders to advance economic growth opportunities across one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions. I also held the position of Principal Industry Lead – Food & Agribusiness and Workforce with Moreton Bay Regional Council, leading strategic initiatives that supported business growth, workforce development and industry investment. Earlier in my career, I spent almost a decade in senior leadership positions with TAFE Queensland, developing strong expertise in education, skills development and workforce capability.
Today, I continue to contribute to economic development nationally through board and advisory appointments while supporting organisations to navigate growth, change and strategic planning. As a proud advocate for Indigenous business and economic participation, I am passionate about creating pathways that empower individuals, communities and businesses to achieve sustainable success.
My approach combines practical commercial experience with strategic thinking, helping organisations identify opportunities, build partnerships and create measurable economic and social impact.
