Building Brisbane Whale Watching into one of Queensland’s most recognised tourism experiences has been one of the proudest achievements of my career.
Since founding the business in 1996, I have focused on creating unforgettable marine wildlife encounters while promoting conservation, education and sustainable tourism. What began as a passion for sharing the annual humpback whale migration has grown into an award-winning tourism operation that attracts thousands of visitors to Moreton Bay each year.
Over nearly three decades, Brisbane Whale Watching has earned recognition locally, nationally and internationally for customer experience and tourism excellence. A career highlight was being inducted into the Moreton Bay Business & Innovation Awards Hall of Fame for Tourism Business Excellence in 2025, following three consecutive award wins. In 2022, I was honoured to be named Businesswoman of the Year, and in 2026 Brisbane Whale Watching achieved Gold Status in the Tourism & Events Queensland Best of Queensland Awards.
Today, Brisbane Whale Watching remains proudly locally owned and operated, contributing to the visitor economy, supporting local jobs and showcasing Moreton Bay as one of Australia’s premier nature-based tourism destinations.
