  • Sees “uncertain” economic outlook but pledged chamber support to members
  • New sub-committee formed for Woodford and Wamuran with members joining

Nick Steiner has issued a rally call and warning after being returned as president of the Greater Caboolture Chamber of Commerce committee.

Mr Steiner was re-elected with vice presidents Paul Garcia and Trish Springsteen, treasurer Andrea Goncalves and committee members Candice Kiss and Steve Wicks.

New GCCC committee members are: secretary Amanda Green, Sophie Wyllie, Jen Bettridge, Miguel Gonzalez and Andrew Green.

On being returned, Mr Steiner said: “Thank you everyone – that means a great deal and I don’t take being re-elected as your President lightly.

“I won’t pretend the road ahead is smooth. The economic outlook is uncertain and I think we’re heading into some stormy times for small businesses across this region.

“What I can promise is this Chamber will do everything in its power to support you through it – through events we run, connections we make for you and the voice we carry on your behalf.

“If there’s a project you care about, or something you think this Chamber should be doing, don’t wait for us to come to you – get involved.

“Join a sub-committee or come to us and help start one. This is your Chamber and it works best when members shape it directly.”

Mr Steiner said in response to member feedback, the Chamber moved away from paid professional speakers at events this year.

“A number of our own members took the stage instead, sharing their stories, skills and experience – and it worked,” he said.

The annual meeting at Nova Ford heard GCCC had 123 financial members at year’s end, up on last year and saw a Robotics in Action demonstration by UniSC Moreton Bay.

A new Woodford and surrounds sub-committee has been set-up for Wamuran/Woodford members. Led by Teresa Harrison it has 14 members.

GCCC held 17 events across seven venues in 2025-26 – up from 11 at nine venues the year before – selling 499 tickets and had a combined 13,284 views on its sites.

The Chamber represents local business across the Greater Caboolture region, running regular networking and professional development events and advocating on behalf of members with all levels of government.
