Nathan Denchman will carry Moreton Bay’s hopes into the US$1 million Startup World Cup Grand Final in California later this year.

Denchman, who lives in this region, co-founded construction-tech ProcurePro, which has won the Startup World Cup Queensland Final.

Having lifted the state award with fellow founder Tim Rogers, Denchman and the team will now pitch for a share of US$1 million at the global final in San Francisco on November 4-6.

ProcurePro beat 11 other finalists to be presented with the Queensland title on July 9 at the Rise Building in UniSC’s Moreton Bay campus at Petrie.

Pegasus Tech Ventures, the global venture capital firm behind Startup World Cup, one of the world’s largest startup pitch competitions, handed ProcurePro its trophy.

“ProcurePro impressed us with a business model that’s already proven and a team ready to make the case to a global investor audience,” Pegasus said.

“We’re looking forward to seeing them on the Silicon Valley stage.”

ProcurePro is a construction procurement software company, launched in 2021 by Alastair Blenkin, Tom Newby, Nathan Denchman, Jesse Dymond and Tim Rogers.

It lets firms consolidate more than 15 procurement processes run through Excel, Word and email into a single digital platform and addresses 80 per cent of project costs at procurement.

The company has scaled well beyond early-stage and now deployed across 6000 projects globally worth more than $120 billion in construction value.

Procurepro recently raised a $15 million Series B to fund AI development and expansion into the UK, Middle East and US, including its first US office.

The Startup World Cup is positioned as a flagship demonstration of City of Moreton Bay’s broader commitment to the region’s economic future.

Mayor Peter Flannery said the program’s results showed the City’s reputation as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

“City of Moreton Bay continues to attract groundbreaking innovation, and celebrating this cohort of pioneering thinkers highlights the talent, ambition, and ingenuity that will help shape a bright future for our city,” he said.

Amanda Bennett, Innovation Director of Innovate Moreton Bay, a Council initiative delivered by Creative HQ, said it also reflected the calibre of the 2026 cohort.

“ProcurePro’s win is proof of what happens when local ambition meets the right platform,” she said.

“Innovate Moreton Bay exists to create exactly this kind of stage, and now this team is headed to Silicon Valley to compete for a million-dollar investment.”

Innovate Moreton Bay delivered the inaugural Startup World Cup Queensland Final in 2025 and returned this year with an expanded 12-team format.
